Strandmeer Cottage is a neat, private home within the gated Strandmeer complex on the Keurbooms River. Quaint and airy, it sleeps eight and sits within easy reach of both river and sea.
Days here begin gently: coffee on the covered front patio, a wander through the well-tended garden of lavender and shady trees, and an easy stroll down to the river. The beach is roughly a ten-minute walk, tide depending.
Inside, the open-plan lounge opens onto patios front and back, with a dining table seating eight and a well-equipped galley kitchen for those who like to cook. Meals move outdoors to the large covered patio, where a built-in gas cooker and braai make evening entertaining effortless.
The estate adds a swimming pool and tennis court within its gates. All linen and towels are provided, along with DStv and Wi-Fi backed by a UPS. Note this is a non-smoking home and pets are not permitted. Open parking for two cars.
